'NIOBIUM BALL'-360 degree Live coded Visuals for Planet Tkaronto
NIOBIUM BALL, presented by Rhythm Corporation, was a captivating 20-minute performance of 360-degree live-coded visuals and audio at Endemics Collective's Planet Tkaronto event, held at InterAccess earlier this month. This experience was one of the most exhilarating I've had in the city. The visuals were created using nodes, specifically RayTK nodes by T3KT, making it a live 'node-based' coding performance. I dynamically edited all the parameters in real time, adding and removing operators to craft intricate SDF geometries. The music was equally enthralling, with beats from Numi Lab and Perspectives by P, electrifying guitar by Luis, and psychedelic vocals from Chinmetal. This event marked my first 360-degree live visual and live coding performance. The experience was incredibly educational, as I learned so much from all the artists who performed that night. InterAccess' 360 projection setup is incredible, and I can't wait to explore more creative possibilities in that space.
Real-Time VJ for Infinite Jest
I create and perform dynamic visuals for Infinite Jest, a monthly global fusion music event in Toronto. Using my custom-built visualizer system on Touchdesigner, I craft unique and engaging experiences that enhance the event's energy. I've had the privilege of providing visuals for six consecutive shows, showcasing my creativity and technical skills.
Infinite Jest is about new combinations, play and creativity. Electronic artists, culturally diverse musicians, DJs and visual artists coalesce at Tapestry in Kensington Market monthly to share experimental, electronic and world music. Link Music Lab is proud to present this series centered on taking risks and introducing artists and creators.
Nuit Blanche 2023
Projected real time visuals that I created accompanied with live sonics from our collective, RYTHM CORP on the walls of Above Ground stationary store next to OCAD, during Nuit Blanche 2023. I used 'Ensemble' to seamlessly switch between multiple visuals during this event. Ensemble is a real-time modular visualizer system designed by me using Touchdesigner for music events. It seamlessly transitions between dynamic visuals, graphics, and videos, allowing artists to customize their visual narratives. With integration options for external inputs like microphones and cameras. Video edited my me.
